Seiko Presage

Masterful craftsmanship is the phrase that should come to mind when you see a Seiko Presage. This line showcases our mechanical watchmaking skills with every model, with each series of timepieces offering Japanese quality, beauty, and long-lasting performance.

The elegance of Presage models stands out from other mechanical timepieces. Each of them is a finely crafted mechanical timepiece using traditional Japanese watchmaking techniques with a modern, fresh touch. They all embody Japan’s rich and diverse beauty by featuring the timeless tradition of the country’s artisanship, aesthetics, and spirituality.

The Presage Sharp Edge Series are elegant timepieces that capture the essence of wagara, nature-inspired beautiful patterns created by artisans to decorate kimonos and other traditional items. It reflects kimonos that hid beauty in plain sight back in the Edo period through each model’s face. Its lineup includes four traditional Japanese colors, each sporting the Asanoha hemp leaf pattern, aitetsu (indigo iron), shironeri (unbleached silk), tokiwa (evergreen), and susutake (brown-toned smoked bamboo)

Apart from the Sharp Edge Series, Presage also has the Style60’s and a couple of other series’ inspired by cocktail drinks and Japanese gardens. The Style60’s series takes its inspiration from our 1964 Crown Chronograph, our’s and Japan’s first wristwatch with a stopwatch function. Cocktail Time consists of watches with colored dials inspired by 12 different cocktail drinks. At the same time, the Japanese garden-inspired series features exquisite dials with the depth and rich texture of a Karesansui or Zen garden, complete with mid-sized models.

Besides its outstanding beauty, the Japanese watchmaking skills used to make Presage models ensure it will last long. The current designs in the Presage catalog are enough to enhance any dress and watch collection with masterfully crafted pieces put together using trademark Japanese watchmaking skills, showcasing culture and tradition that makes them distinctive from other mechanical wristwatches.
