The latest Seiko Speedtimer chronograph takes inspiration from Seiko's first stopwatch designed for timing winter sports. As the official timing device at a major sporting event held in Sapporo in 1972, the original stopwatch’s features were tailored for winter conditions. These included a black dial for high legibility during competitions conducted on snow.
